Located on the Hamilton Central Mountain is the Thorner Neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is located between Upper Sherman Avenue and Upper Wentworth Street, and between Mohawk Road and The Lincoln Alexander Parkway. The most recognizable feature in this neighbourhood is Limeridge Mall. The Hamilton Mountain is a great place to raise a family, and the Thorner Neighbourhood offers many amenities.
The majority of the homes in this area were build between 1961 and 1980, primarily being single family detached homes. According to the recent census, the age range in this neighbourhood is between 20-64 years old, with 36% of the homes in the neighbourhood occupied by families with children.

Limeridge Mall is located in the Thorner Neighbourhood. Limeridge Mall is a two-level indoor shopping mall that opened on September 13, 1981. It is the largest mall complex in the city, with over 213 stores including larger stores such as Hudson’s Bay, H&M, Shoppers Drug Mart, as well as banks, salons, restaurants and a food court. It is located at 999 Upper Wentworth Street.

In addition to the ample free parking at Limeridge Mall, several Tesla charging stations are available one of the overflow parking sections.
As well as having the mall so close, there are also a variety of stores, services and businesses at the corner of Upper Wentworth Street and Mohawk Road, such as LCBO, Tim Hortons, Good Life Fitness, Fortinos, ScotiaBank, and TD Canada Trust.

and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses is located at 648 Limeridge Rd East, making this neighbourhood possibly the most diverse religious neighbourhood on the Hamilton Mountain.
The Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus terminal is located on the west side of the mall along Upper Wentworth Street. A total of four routes and two shuttles loop or pass through this terminal. You can find the HSR schedule here.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is located at 420 Mohawk Road East, in the Thorner Neighbourhood.
