The Homeside Neighbourhood is in East Hamilton and is sometimes referred to as being part of the McQuesten area. The Homeside area is between Strathearne Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue and is located north of Main Street.
The majority of the homes in this area were build prior to 1960, primarily being single family detached homes. According to the recent census, the typical age range in this neighbourhood is 30-44 years old, with 40% of the homes containing families.

As the largest public school in Canada, W.H. Ballard Elementary School is located at 801 Dunsmere Road. This school is named after not only a well-known citizen of Hamilton, but W.H. Ballard was also one of the most distinguished educationalists of Canada.

Andrew Warburton Memorial Park is a 2.5 acre park located at the intersection of Britannia Avenue and Tragina Avenue North. The park is surrounded primarily by single-detached residential housing. This park has a playground, spray pad, wading pool and a basketball court.
